VIP (VUE Integration Partners)
The VUE Integration Partners (VIP) is a program that provides a bridge between the VUE Project at Tufts University and external developers, consultants, companies, and institutions who are creating, or wish to create, customized versions of VUE aimed at vertical markets (e.g. medical, legal, education, scriptwriting, etc.). VUE Integration Partners are integrators for VUE-based products who are available to extend, modify, or customize existing VUE code to meet the specially tailored needs of customers and clients (the primary source of funding for such efforts). VIPs may also be interested in developing their own vertical market applications independent of commercial motivations. Through this program, the VUE Project can provide support to VIPs by:
- highlighting approved quality integrators on the VUE web site;
- providing points of contact within the VUE Project who can assist with various aspects of VUE adaptation;
- assisting with the distribution, licensing, branding, and sales of customized VUE applications.

VUE Translation Project
Over the years, we have had many requests to translate VUE in different languages. Thanks to dedicated volunteers, this is now a reality. Translation is a work in progress. New languages can be added, as volunteers take on the task. Updating existing translations is also necessary to keep up with the evolution of VUE. Contact us if you would like to participate in the translation effort.

OKI - The Open Knowledge Iniatitive
VUE is OKI compliant and makes use of OKI's Repository OSID implementations to search digital repositories. If you would like to know how you can contribute to VUE or create OSIDs, please contact us. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
VUE uses the Open Calais web service to perform entity extraction of node resources, these entities can then be automatically laid out as part of your map or added as categorized metadata to nodes.
